Roseville library to host conversation on race

The Ramsey County Library is hosting a community conversation on race Wednesday.

The event will be framed by a discussion of the book “A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota,” by Sun Yung Shin, according to information on Ramsey County’s web site. The book contains 16 essays that explore what it’s like to be a person of color in Minnesota.

raceinmnShin will lead the talk, which is expected to touch on recent events happening across the country as well as well themes addressed in the book.

The discussion will take place Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Ramsey County Library Roseville branch, at 2180 Hamline Ave. N.

Copies of the book can be checked out at the library’s reference desk while supplies last. They will also be available for purchase.
