Is it time to finally fix that broken lamp that’s been glaring at you for months in your garage?
Lug it to Ramsey County’s next free Fix-It clinic. The session will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 27 at Arc’s Value Village Thrift Store on White Bear Avenue in St. Paul, according to information from the county.
Volunteers will help visitors fix up to three broken items as well as teach them how to do their own repair work.
One of the goals of Ramsey County’s Environmental Health Division’s program is to divert objects from landfills, county staff reports.
Three out of every four items are reportedly repaired at the clinics. Residents can bring anything from small household appliances to torn clothing to the sessions. All repair services are free.
