A Little Canada woman accused of forcing a vulnerable adult who was temporarily living with her to work as a prostitute has been sentenced to probation.
Anne Marie Lindgren, 47, also was ordered to spend five days in jail but was given credit for time already served following her arrest last year.
She was sentenced in Ramsey County District Court this week on one count of receiving profits from prostitution, a felony.

Two other charges, including soliciting or inducing an individual to practice prostitution and promoting prostitution, were dismissed.
Lindgren was charged after Ramsey County sheriff’s deputies responded to a group home in February of last year on a report that a vulnerable adult had been trafficked. They interviewed a 45-year-old woman there who said she had stayed at Lindgren’s home in Little Canada between late last January and mid-February.
While she was living with her, Lindgren placed an ad for her on LiveLinks seeking “intimate encounters” with men, the woman told investigators, according to the complaint.
Over the next two to three weeks, the woman estimated she had sex with 10 to 20 men who came to Lindgren’s apartment after seeing the ad, the complaint said.
Each man paid her $40, which she turned over to Lindgren in exchange for being allowed to stay at her residence, the complaint said.
The woman returned to her group home last Feb. 15 to pick up medication and told staff what had happened. They urged her to call law enforcement.
At the time she was charged, Lindgren told the Pioneer Press the woman’s account of what happened was dishonest. She said she did nothing more than create a LiveLinks account for the woman per her request. She also said she never received any of the money the woman was paid by men who responded to the ad.
Lindgren added that she is also a vulnerable adult.
She entered a guilty plea in her case in September.
Her attorney could not be immediately reached for comment.
