A Spring Lake Park man will spend more than a decade in prison for conspiring to sell methamphetamine and marijuana.
Eduardo Penaloza-Romero, 27, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in St. Paul Wednesday to 196 months in prison for the crimes, according to the U.S. Attorney.
Penaloza-Romero arranged for about eight pounds of methamphetamine to be trafficked from California to Minnesota in August of 2014 and sold both methamphetamine and marijuana to law enforcement on various occasions between the fall of 2013 and the summer of 2014, the federal office reported.
Law enforcement also discovered a semi-automatic pistol and more than two and a half pounds of methamphetamine at his house.
