Police are investigating a shooting that took place in downtown Minneapolis early Sunday that left two men injured.
Officers responded to the area near Fourth Street and Second Avenue North about 2:45 a.m. after hearing gunshots, according to Minneapolis police.
Officers found no victims and could gather only limited information about what happened. Soon after, two men were dropped off at Hennepin County Medical Center, where they were treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, the police reported.
One suffered a leg injury, the other a graze to his head.
Officers determined the injuries were related to the shooting, police said.
Back in the neighborhood, officers were interviewing people in the area and reviewing surveillance video to try and determined what happened.
Police believe the shooting occurred between two groups of people who knew each other. It was unrelated to Pride events happening around the city, police reported.
