The opening of a new independent living community for seniors will take place in White Bear Lake next week.
The party starts at 3 p.m. at The Waters of White Bear Lake, located at 3820 Hoffman Road.
The facility offers studios as well as one and two bedroom apartments that range in size from about 500 to 1,200 square feet. There are 106 independent living apartments open for occupancy now. In about six months, 30 memory care units will be available.
The units have nine-foot ceilings, washers and dryers and lots of storage space, according to information provided by a publicist for The Waters Senior Living, a Minneapolis-based company that owns, operates and develops senior living communities across the country.
The open house will include tours, cuisine sampling, spa services and remarks from the White Bear mayor.
