A St. Paul man who sneaked into his girlfriend’s home while she was working and attacked and raped her teenage daughter was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Trevall Devon Coleman, 27, was sentenced Thursday, about two months after pleading guilty to one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
At his February plea hearing, Coleman admitted to sneaking into his girlfriend’s St. Paul home around 2 or 3 a.m. last Nov. 30 and making his way to her 17-year-old daughter’s room.

With a hooded sweatshirt over his face to conceal his identity, he found the girl in her bed and punched her in the face. Then he held her down by the throat and raped her.
The girl called 911 after her attacker — whom she didn’t recognize at the time — fled her East Side home, court records say.
Officers who responded to the scene in the 600 block of Sims Avenue found her bleeding from her face and crying, along with signs of a struggle.
At the time of the attack, the girl was home alone with her 7-year-old brother.
A query of her address showed that the girl’s mother formerly had a protection order against her boyfriend, Coleman, from a domestic assault and terroristic threats incident.
A subsequent search of Coleman’s cellphone placed him near the victim’s home at the time of the attack.
Coleman’s attorney, Bruce Wenger, could not be immediately reached for comment.
