A North St. Paul man with more than a dozen felonies on his criminal record could add nearly 10 more if he ends up convicted of recent charges filed against him this winter.
Shawn Museus’ most recent charges came in Ramsey County District Court this week.
Authorities accuse the 34-year-old of breaking into the underground parking garage of an apartment building in Little Canada in the spring of 2017, according to the charges.

He rifled through several vehicles’ contents and stole tools, a handgun, and a speaker system, among other items, authorities say.
Authorities say Museus smashed vehicle windows in two instances to make entry. In one case, he left his knife behind, charges say.
Authorities used DNA collected from it to trace the crimes to Museus, according to the criminal complaint.
He was charged Wednesday via warrant with two counts of first-degree burglary and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm for the incident.
He also has cases pending against him in Dakota and Washington Counties, including charges of fraud, theft, criminal damage to property, receiving stolen property, and drug possession, court records say.
Museus’ criminal history stretches back to 2001, when he was still a juvenile, authorities say.
Since then, he’s been convicted of first, second and third degree burglary, domestic assault, credit card fraud, and drug possession.
About a week before he allegedly broke into the Little Canada parking garage, Museum slashed the tires of a Menard’s clerk who wouldn’t let him return an item without a receipt.
He pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree criminal damage to property in that case back in April of 2017.
“(Museus’) criminogenic needs apparently remain unmet, and society’s only respites have been provide(d) by the incarceration of Museus,” authorities wrote in the most recent complaint filed against him.
He’s being held in the Washington County jail as his case works it way through that court system. The public defender representing him on those charges declined to comment. No attorney was listed for him on his Ramsey County cases.
