A Minneapolis man is accused of raping a girl he met while traveling on the light rail from St. Paul to Minneapolis last spring.
Tyresse Mario Dionte McKay, 27, was charged via warrant with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in Ramsey County District Court.
Police responded to a report of a sexual assault on the 500 block of Hatch Avenue in St. Paul around 10:30 a.m. on May 16, 2016. A girl there said she had been invited to a nearby apartment building by a man she had met on the light rail train the day before, the complaint said.
Her age was redacted in the document but a spokesman for the Ramsey County attorney’s office said she is a juvenile.
While inside the apartment, the man, who she said introduced himself as “June,” forced her to have sex with him, she told officers. After he was finished, another man entered the bedroom and raped her, followed by a third man, the complaint said.
June then made her sleep on the kitchen floor next to him and shower the following morning, according to the complaint.
The girl eventually ran out of the apartment to a nearby community center for help.
She was taken to Children’s Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the alleged assaults. She underwent a sexual assault examination and a forensic specimen was collected for testing by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Laboratory results indicated the specimen contained a “mixture of three or more individuals,” the complaint said. One of the DNA profiles matched McKay, according to the complaint.
It appears that McKay is not in custody.
His criminal history includes only minor traffic infractions in Minnesota.
No phone number could be located for McKay or his family members.
